Evaluation
This page exists because the alternative — publishing competitor comparison pages assembled from marketing copy and guesswork — is how this category usually handles it, and it is not useful to anyone. Instead, here are the questions that actually separate these products, with our own answers stated plainly so you can hold us to them.
Some products in this category are lightweight CRMs wearing an integration label. If adopting the tool means your team stops working in your CRM, you are buying a migration, not an integration.
WhatSyncs: Connects. WhatSyncs has no pipeline, no deal stages and no ambition to become your system of record.
Per seat punishes you for giving more people visibility. Per message punishes support-heavy businesses. Per conversation tier makes budgeting a guessing game. Per connected number scales on something you control.
WhatSyncs: Per connected WhatsApp number. Free for three, then $10 per connection per month with unlimited chats.
Businesses run several numbers. A platform that assumes one, or charges a full licence for each, will not survive contact with a company that has branches.
WhatSyncs: No fixed limit on Professional. Each number is an independently monitored connection.
A text-only integration loses the brochure, the signed contract and the voice note — often the most decision-relevant content in the thread.
WhatSyncs: Voice notes, audio, images, video, PDFs and documents synchronize alongside messages.
The same message can arrive through a realtime event, a reconnect replay, a history backfill and a webhook retry. If the platform does not reconcile these, your CRM will fill with duplicates and people will stop trusting it.
WhatSyncs: Stable message identifiers reconciled before delivery, plus an idempotency key on every webhook delivery.
This is the question most evaluations skip and most teams regret skipping. A silently dead integration is worse than no integration.
WhatSyncs: Continuous per-connection health, four explicit states, and connection events delivered to your webhook endpoint.
If sending requires a human in the vendor's interface, you cannot automate order updates, reminders or notifications from the systems that actually know when to send them.
WhatSyncs: Yes — one authenticated POST, from any connected number.
An API behind an enterprise paywall cannot be evaluated before purchase, which is usually the point.
WhatSyncs: Full API and webhook access on the Free plan, documented publicly.
Unsigned webhooks make your endpoint a write path for anyone who discovers the URL. No retries means an outage on your side is permanent data loss. No logs means integration failures are unarguable.
WhatSyncs: Signed with HMAC, retried with backoff, and every attempt recorded in a delivery log.
Ask precisely what a vendor means by importing history, and what determines how far back it reaches. Vague answers here are a reliable signal.
WhatSyncs: Available history can be synchronized where the linked session exposes it. Depth depends on the session, and we say so rather than implying it is unlimited.
"Enterprise-grade security" is not a certification. Ask which audits have been completed, by whom, and when the report was issued.
WhatSyncs: None yet. We hold no SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA certification and do not claim to.
If you stop paying, what happens to the conversation data — and can you get it out first?
WhatSyncs: Conversations and media are retrievable through the API for as long as your workspace is active, so an export is a script rather than a negotiation.
Not currently. A comparison page is only worth reading if every claim in it is verified and kept current, and most pages in this category are neither — they are assembled once from a competitor's homepage and left to rot.
If we publish comparisons later, they will be based on facts we can verify at the time of writing, dated, and corrected when they stop being true.
Take the twelve questions above to each vendor and make them answer in writing. The answers differ far more than the marketing pages do, and the ones that get vague are the ones that matter.
Then connect one number on a free tier and send yourself a message. Ten minutes of that tells you more than an afternoon of comparison tables.
Connect one number on the Free plan and watch a real message reach your endpoint.
